Photo Story: Bouldering Photography using the Godox TT350 Flash
A series of images from a day with Slap Happy Climbing on some classic Lake District boulders in Kentmere.
By this point in the day we were based at some of the boulders in the wooded section often called little Font.
This shoot was the first time I had taken my new Godox TT350 speedlight with me, and because of the lack of light due to the time of day and location, it ended up being the perfect time to test it.
The Godox flash allowed me to ‘freeze’ Cam during some of the more dynamic moves of the climb and it also gave the scene some depth.
Without the flash, I would have had to utilise a high ISO in order to have a fast shutter speed and due to the poor light I feel like the images would have been really flat and dull.
I’m really happy with the results and am looking forward to experimenting more with it both on camera and off camera.
